The 1st International Seminar on Gastronomic Tourism is part of one of the goals of the Prospectives for Gastronomic Tourism in Brazil (IFB/MTUR) project and aims to generate a space for technical-scientific debate on the subject of gastronomic tourism in the country.
The first edition of the Seminar will be held in Paraty (RJ), a city that has been part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network since 2017 in the Gastronomy category. Located between Serra da Bocaina and the sea, Paraty was inscribed, in 2019, on the Mixed World Heritage List and is located in the region known as Costa Verde, practically halfway between the capitals Rio de Janeiro (240 km) and São Paul (270 km).
The event will be held in a hybrid form on March 28 and 29, 2022 and will feature the participation of exponents of gastronomic tourism at a national and international level. All programming will be broadcast live on IFB TV on YouTube and on the Ministry of Tourism's social media.
Check out the full schedule and follow the event. Rebecca Mackenzie, President & CEO will be speaking at the conference on the power of food tourism to transform communities.
