The Culinary Tourism Alliance is pleased to be offering a virtual workshop for businesses interested in learning more about avenues to recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce. This employer-driven session will cover topics, including:
Tools for creating job descriptions that appeal to diverse audiences.
Training programs, supports and resources for employees, supervisors and managers.
Certification programs that can help you adopt best practices and demonstrate to employees and visitors that you value diversity.
Long-term workforce planning strategies.
This workshop will also feature the opportunity to learn about two new training programs from OTEC (Ontario Tourism Education Corporation) that will help employers with employee recruitment and retention:
The Accelerated Leadership Training Series, designed for tourism and hospitality sector managers and leaders seeking to improve their managerial skills, build their people skills, and advance their careers.
Reimagine to Succeed: Bringing Diversity to Tourism & Hospitality, an innovative program designed to equip employers with the training, advice and confidence they need to hire and retain people with disabilities and build more inclusive workplaces.
