Growing up in Toronto, Tetiana enjoyed exploring the vibrant and diverse food scene of the city. Although her family roots began growing tender fruit in Lincoln, Ontario, during the summer months while visiting her grandparents Tetiana began developing a deeper appreciation for locally grown food. It was through these unique food experiences she recognized food's remarkable ability to bridge gaps, foster community, and honour local identity connecting us all in a shared celebration of place and culture.

At the University of Toronto, Tetiana studied Digital Enterprise Management earning an HBA, and later earned a certificate of Digital communications at Sheridan College. Starting her career journey in Niagara where she now resides, Tetiana served as a Digital Marketing Associate at Civiconnect, an organization connecting young professionals with local businesses to provide professional services within digital marketing, systems administration, and web design. She closely collaborated with businesses developing strategic marketing plans to elevate their digital presence and capabilities.

Driven by her passion for promoting local culture and heritage, Tetiana transitioned into the tourism sector, where she found her niche in destination branding and marketing. In her role as the Tourism Marketing Assistant with the Town of Lincoln, Tetiana took on the responsibility of managing both marketing and stakeholder communications channels to support the activation of the town's destination brand identity, Niagara Benchlands. Through her efforts, she not only showcased the region's natural beauty but also highlighted the rich agricultural heritage, and culinary offerings that define Lincoln as a place where all wanderers are welcome.

Tetiana recommends:

  • Picking field strawberries at Tigchelaar Berry Farms in Lincoln, Ontario, then stopping by the farms Red Barn Market and Bakery for a seasonal haul of fresh local produce, delicious pies and scones, ending the visit with their must-try frozen yogurt!

  • In early spring, enjoy a walk through Toronto’s High Park to catch a glimpse of blossoming Sakura cherry trees. Best enjoyed with friends after a day of walking head over to La Cubana for cocktails and Cuban comfort food.

  • After shopping from an impressive selection of gourmet food, unique kitchen and homewares at Bradshaws in Stratford, the best way to end the day includes a stop at Pazzo’s for classic pizza, pasta and antipasti.
