Culinary Tourism Alliance Celebrates Maple Leaf Adventures as Winner of British Columbia’s Inaugural Culinary & Agritourism Experience Award
The Culinary Tourism Alliance (CTA) is proud to announce its sponsorship of the first-ever Culinary & Agritourism Experience Award at the BC Tourism Industry Conference, celebrating businesses that provide outstanding and authentic taste-of-place experiences. This year’s prestigious award was presented to Maple Leaf Adventures, a small-ship expedition company known for its commitment to local sourcing, sustainability, and culinary excellence.
The Culinary & Agritourism Experience Award is the third of four culinary and agritourism awards that CTA has sponsored across Canada. From our long-standing support of the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario’s Awards of Excellence to the recent introduction of culinary-focused awards at the Tourism Industry Association of Canada's Tourism Congress in December and the Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador Conference this month, CTA remains dedicated to recognizing and elevating businesses that integrate local foodways into their tourism experiences.
Celebrating Maple Leaf Adventures’ Culinary Commitment
Maple Leaf Adventures has long been a pioneer in BC’s culinary tourism space, incorporating hyper-local ingredients, sustainable seafood, and regional beverages into its immersive coastal expeditions. Their experiences, such as the Wines & Islands Expedition and Craft Beer Cruise, connect guests with BC’s dynamic food culture through tastings, foraging excursions, and expert-led pairings—all while exploring the breathtaking Salish Sea.
