Niagara College’s Culinary, Tourism and Beverage Studies division is the pinnacle of excellence in Canadian hospitality education. Focusing on work-integrated learning to enhance the student experience, every program is designed to exceed industry standards, and combines experiential learning opportunities with Academic Signature Events where students engage with the community and gain valuable exposure.

Under the direction of skillful faculty with diverse backgrounds and years of experience, students study in the heart of Ontario’s thriving wine industry and in one of the largest tourism destinations in the world; they have access to the college’s world-class Teaching Distillery as well as an on-site 40-acre vineyard, a fruit tree orchard, a hop yard and an apiary, plus a Teaching Winery, Teaching Brewery and Teaching Greenhouse.

Graduates of NC’s Culinary, Tourism and Beverage Studies division are industry-ready professionals, having spent hundreds of hours linking theoretical knowledge to practical skills. In October 2022, Maclean’s magazine listed NC’s Artisan Distilling Program as one of the five most interesting programs at a Canadian College, and in November 2023, University Magazine ranked Niagara College’s Culinary Arts Program as one of the best in Canada based on its facilities, the experience of its chef professor and industry connections. Further positioning the college as a leader in culinary arts, a new two-year Baking and Pastry Management Diploma program will be launched in Fall 2024.
